I believe that every single person, without exception, regardless of circumstances, is dignified and worthy of my love and respect by virtue of their very existence. My belief in the relational nature, inherent dignity, and inestimable worth of every person is the foundational principle of my therapeutic approach with individuals and couples.
Our own imperfect natures, experiences, unhelpful thoughts, and unhealthy behaviors, though, can undermine our calling to be our healed, healthy, and whole selves. I strive to create a warm and respectful bond with my clients to build a foundation of comfort and acceptance on which to work toward this healing.
It is my privilege to seek to use the self of the therapist, my life experience, education, clinical skills, and therapeutic knowledge to accompany, support, and guide my clients on their journey to physical, psychological, spiritual, relational, and emotional well-being.
My husband and I were both born and raised in Ohio, but we moved our family to the Upstate in 2006 and have happily made our home here since. I enjoy singing in my choir, reading, knitting, baking, and relaxing with family, friends, and neighbors.
